Meet Dr. Peter J. Hopper
Dr. Hopper attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada & graduated with a BSc in physiology in 1980. Following a year of postgraduate research in immunology, Dr. Hopper was accepted into the Faculty of Dentistry & received a DDS in 1985. Dr. Hopper elected to continue his training at the Royal Victoria Hospital, receiving his GPR & a certificate in conscious sedation from the Montreal General Hospital the following year.
Over the years, Dr. Hopper has mentored many associate dentists & is a clinical demonstrator for the dental hygiene programs of La Cité Collégiale & Algonquin College. He was appointed to the attending staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital Dental Clinic, where he supervised the advanced restorative care training of graduate dentists & attended to the needs of dental inpatients. He has also provided dental care to migrant farm workers in the Middlebury area. He has a license to practice in Florida & previously owned two practices in Ottawa, Canada.
Dr. Hopper is trained in the latest dental procedures & stays up to date on the newest advances in the field in order to provide the best care for his patients. He has been a member of the American Dental Association & the Vermont State Dental Society for 18 years. Dr. Hopper is always focused on the need for advancing his clinical knowledge while providing the utmost compassion & care to his patients.
Dr. Hopper & his wife, Linda, have two grown children, Emma & Max. His hobbies include sports photography, making artisan bread & wood-fired pizza, gardening, & boating & fishing on Lake Champlain. He spends much of his spare time with his two Newfoundland dogs, Pippa & Gus.
